The basic guide to referals and transfers

This is a guide to referring your patient to the retrieval services

For every patient

• Details of the accepting/receiving doctor, bed status (accepted, pending bed, via ED)
• COVID Status (RAT within last 24/24 as minimum, unless exempt)
• Patient weight (And if > 120kg, the patients width at widest point, use measurement guide if needed)

Time critical

1. Bilateral IV access preferred, access in right arm preferable for transfer (if bilateral access, infusions on left)
